Mr. Kandasamy Sathananthen, a resident of Vavuniya District, has been continuously maintaining Vairavapuliyankulam, its surrounding tank bunds, and the environment within the area under the Kovilkulam Agrarian Service Centre through his own initiative and dedication. In addition, he has been creating public awareness to prevent the dumping of solid waste in the area.
In recognition of his dedicated community service and valuable contribution to environmental protection, he was honoured by Mr. K. Vimalaruban, Deputy Commissioner of Agrarian Development of Vavuniya District, together with other officials.
